The Africa Animal Welfare Conference (AAWC) stands as one of the continent’s most significant gatherings for animal welfare professionals and practitioners. This annual conference brings together experts, researchers, policymakers, and advocates from across Africa and beyond to address critical issues spanning animal welfare, wildlife conservation, and environmental protection.
The conference is co-hosted by the Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW) in collaboration with prestigious international organizations including the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the African Union InterAfrican Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR), and the host country’s government.
